That turned out nicely. Great job. You could go into business modifying pans

          Thanks guys
Since re modelling this front floorpan I have realised that I have gone too far.
Although the front section now lines up well with the new front toe board panel when I lay my re-worked central tunnel in position you can see that the central area should not be bent down.

If anyone can throw some light on this I would appreciate the input.

Here are some shots of the rot in the chassis being cut out.

The front lower torsion bar area will need some TLC but at least with the previous bodges removed I can start to see the way forward.
          Thanks for looking.

            Drew,

I will have look on mine tomorrow, its strange that drop away. My car is the same 1959 but chassis 106954 a bit before yours. Drew, you have the skill I think to do it all, but I think its not easy. If I had seen that car in N Wales and bought it I would be in serious trouble getting around that work. A lot of fabrication but something you are so good at though.

These cars always look so good until you start stripping them down. No wonder RHD cars are rare even if they have come from S. Africa in the 60's.

            Keep smiling!!

              Drew,

I took some very old photo's when I changed the reversing light on the interior of the tunnel. Two of these show my still original floor and the tunnel leading up to the kick board. The base of the tunnel where it reaches the kickboard area seems to be flat with no drop down. I also do not see the two round impressions, maybe you can.

The set up for the adjustment for cold start ( depresses the throttle lever is also shown ) That might be useful for you later.

Maybe these photos are not what you need at all sorry if they confuse! rather than help.I can say that area now ten years later is much tidier than shown but still all original. Forget the green wire thats re-routed now.

WOW! A lot of time invested there Drew You really cleaned up those embossements nicely. I have no doubt you'll get that last hurdle knocked out shortly. Keep at it!

Roy, Its so nice of you to volunteer your time to head out into your garage and dismantle your interior just for a few reference shots. Thank you for all that you do!

                  Moin Drew,

You have done a BIG job on adjusting the metal parts.

This is the only pictures I have on hand.... you can see the middle part are same level as the "tunnel" and its just sloping down to the sides....not perfect but something to go on...

The RED one is Simonsens own photo of the floor panel...the unpainted is his part but my photo

Thanks guys for taking the time to share your photos.
It seems that the front toe board stamping is the one that needs adjusting next.

I am going to move this flange back up to give me a good average.
It's just a shame that these new panels need so much extra work to get them to line up.
                    Regards
                    Drew

                      Hi Guys
Slow progress in my cold workshop, but here is the front floorpan mocked up, it's starting to all fit together.

I've been busy adding some more workshop space. Putting the insulation in at the moment so it should be a lot warmer this winter.

I have also started making this folder, it was supplied with every new vehicle and contained the Driver's Manual and all other paperwork for T1 and T2 cars.
