Drew, you made a fantastic job on restoring that 356A I am very surprised you have had a poor response to its sale. Like Justin says the market seems quiet after a long period of high prices. I just looked at Hagerty classic car price guide and they they state for a 1959 356A super the following:-
£71,700 for a daily driver
£101,000 for a car in good condition
£124,000 for a car that might win a local car show
£242,000 for a Number one best you can get car.
I really wonder if the World wide specialised classic car auctions are the best option with a firm reserve. I think that would be my thinking but I have no experience of doing that. Of course you would have to pay I guess for the them to market the car.
