The engine is close to getting done.
I am waiting for carbs to get the throttle bores machined and throttle shafts
resized. you could see a lot of daylight around butterflies while they were closed.
Common for Solex P40's.
Thanks Gordon
Gordon, really nice fabrication work on that compensator spring mount and The 912 power plant is really looking nice! You're getting so close; keep after it! Thanks for the update. Justin
I am getting closer to firing this thing up. just bolted new stainless steel J pipes,
they fit better than I expected, Happy Holidays , Gordon
Looks great Gordon. I saw those SS J pipes advertised somewhere the other day and had never seen them before. What is your opinion of them? Wonder if they are the same quality of similar SSI product built for 911's? Happy holidays all.

Thanks for posting this update, Your car looks amazing Gordon!! Looks like you could be driving it before the month is out. When is your first test drive? Beautiful car, I'll bet its even cooler in person!! Justin
BTW: photos were upside down probably because they were shot from an I-phone. Easy fix.
That's the wrong captain for that tag line Jack...
Would like to know more about the exhaust you fabricated. Also, I'll dogpile on the kudos for the overall look of the car. I always think an A looks better with plain bumpers (no guards / towel bars) as I think it makes it look like all the mass is at the bottom and thus lower. Too cool
