The Porsche Museum brought 904-008 to the Silverstone Classic event last weekend for a display. I had a good look at it and noticed a few things. Firstly the rear deck is secured to the centre roof section via a couple of flush fitting pins. When you look inside the door apertures the bolts that normally secure the rear deck are missing. This seems to be corroborated by the Teloche picture. However 904-008 is currently running with flared rear wheel arches and rear spoiler lip which is moulded into the rear deck as one piece. The picture shows a separate riveted rear spoiler and no flares. Did any 904s have the spoiler moulded as one with the rear deck or does this indicate a replacement part from a later era? Pedantic details I know but interested to know!
