550-08 was the reserve car---mostly used to get takeout food.

550-11 raced. Note that this car burned to the ground later at March Field near Sacramento. A "replica" (I am being gracious) is thought to exist now in Europe.

Re 4-cam motors:

There were several prototype 4-cams:

547-01 through 547-12. These went (not in order) in the prototype 550s. One was 1100cc.

The first production 550 had 90001.

this car belong to the Porsche Stuttgart museum
It is the one who raced le Mans 1954 and then was sold to Jaroslav Juhan
He finished 4th with it at the 1954 Carrera Panamericana and first at the 1955 Buenos Aires 1000 kilometers race
