This is an amazing feat of fabrication going on here Angus!
The longitudinals look super heavy duty! How much did you raise your front beams? Love the way you laid back the head lights and rolled those doors down. The new roof line looks sweet as well. This is a fantastic tribute build to the Emory Special of which, you seem to be executing all the right details. Thank you once again for sharing this build with us. Great work!

Many thanks Justin, the fabrication is being done by a friend, unfortunately my skills don;'t run that far. As we converted the car from a coupe to a cab we decided to use 3mm plate steel with ribs inserted to strengthen the longitudinals, should do the job!
We raised the front beam by 2 inches, according to Dick (my panel guy) it actually wasn't that tough to do. It also keeps the geometry of the front suspension the same.
I have meet Rod a couple of times and he has been supportive, but obviously has not given away any of his trade secrets! (Wish he did )We have spent countless hours studying photos of his cars and reading his commentary of what he did to the cars then trying to translate that into my car. There is so much detail that I coudl write a book!
I will share more photos as the car progresses if the interest is there?

I ordered my Spinney Beck leather samples today. Thanks for the steer, going to do my 66 912 seat centers with that weave. I think I am going to do a woven dash also. The best part is the matching full hides. So the doors and everything else will the same. Great steer..
