The weather forecast for the week end, was not too bad but unfortunately when I awake Saturday morning the wind was blowing hard and the rain there
I had originally plan to take my Porschinelle but she doesnot like the rain I change my plan and left Porschinelle in the garage and took my Puma whose plastic body don't fear the rain

Sorry you could not come.
As you will see there after the place was very cool and after the Saturday morning rain we had a beatiful September weather
912 from Belgium, Germany and Switzerland had registred but only one from Germany came (bad weather forecast or too long journey ?)
Montalivet les Bains is well known in Europe not only for its waves but mainly as the capital of nudism
During the summer months thousands and thousands of German, Dutch, Swedish and Norvegian take profit of the mild climate and of the ocean waves








The Atlantic Ocean coast from Soulac sur mer to Biarritz near Spain is quite desertic and protected against concrete building devastation

I left home at around 8 AM with a cold and rainy weather and got to Montalivet at around 11 AM
Normally the program was that Saturday be dedicated to a discovery rallye of the surrounding area, the Medoc, where some of the best Bordeaux wines grow :
Moulis, Saint Julien Beycherelle,Chateau Margaux,Lafite Rotschild, and many others
A road book was included in your welcome package to help you in your discovery
When I arrived the weather was starting to clear off but very few cars were arrived

2 parkings places were available :
A small one in the small city center dedicated to 912 and 911 classics, and a large one along the beach for all the other cars including the 911 G bodies

The 912 park also quite empty

Luckily in a few minutes the wind chase the rain and some blue sky appear
Most of the entrants left the place for the Medoc visit

Being there as a next door neighbour, and knowing perfectly that region, I decide to stay on site to wait for my Limoges friends who were due to arrive at around 1H30
The 2 organisers cars also stay on site
The yellow for Antoine
The red one for Julien



Julien has restored himself his car as an outlaw
This car is fitted with a 2040 VW type 1 engine with a 911 cooling turbine

After the presentation, back to the attending cars
With the constant growing of the value of our cars less and less 356 PREA or even A attend such a meeting where 90 % of the cars came by road some covering over 1000 kilometers
Only 7 ot 8 356 were present only B or C including one cab

As you have understood the weather change completely and Saturday evening to Sunday all day the sun was shining brightly sope more pics

That sort of meeting is also the occasion to meet friends from all over France around nice food and drinks

Sunday morning a surf session was organize for those interested
The more courageous tried the water when a special collective board paddle (who went all the way from Lyon to Montalivet on the roof od 911) allow the beginners to had some trials nto the surf excitements
