Jeanh Marc Bussolini and his wife Patricia came 7th with their blue 904 GTS with which they finish 4th overall last year
Not bad considering the difference in engine size with the precedent and following cars
On this pic the blue 904 may $be seen on the Dijon Prenois race track tacking one turn to a Mustang

In the competition groups G1/G2 (1961/1971) and H/I (1966/1981) the 911 Carrera RSR 3.0 and 2.8 occupy the 1st, 2nd 3rd and 5th place

Sorry some posting problems
First a view of Avignon where the cars will stay for the night, who has not posted at the right place
As far as the VHC competition group is concern the race is still leaded by the GT 40 MarkI with, after around 41 minutes of real racing, 1 Mn 07 seconds ahead of the seconf=d fastest car xwho is the Porsche 3.0 RSR of Gunnar Jeanette

The leading GT40
Gunnar Jeanette 1st in the HI group and second overall
Raymond Narac with a 2.8 RSR had some mechanical problems who have pushed far back in the classification but still racing
The blue 804 did not had the same chance and has had to retire definitely

Finally the Matra 650 was not ready for the start and stayed in Paris
One of the most valuable car on the road is the Cobra Daytona seen above

At the time I post the remaining cars are on their way from Avignon
to Aix en Provence
with a stop on the Paul Ricard race track
entirely redone this year to welcome the 2018 France formula 1 stage next July
with 2 more special stages
Yesterday one of the 2 special stage had to be cancelled after that a bright new BMW of the organisation teaComment

organisation team (probably excited by the race cars) left the road violently
The pilot was safe but the co-pilot was severly hurt at the point that he had to be taken to the Avignon hospital by helicopter
On the top of that a spectator of the race courses on the Ledenon race track dead from a heart attack
No need to tell you the newspaper titles this morning
Despite all that around 200 off the 250 starting cars arrived to Avignon
In the VHC category the Britissh GT 40 is still leading followed by another GB car a Jaguar E type
