I wish! Trevor has been trying to locate a Sports Car Illustrated (1961?) article about sports cars at the drag races. It had a great double-page picture of me blowing-off their editor's hoped-up Sprite, but no luck so far. Cameras weren't so handy back then...

2014 LA Roadster show this Father's Day weekend. Probably 1,000 cars there, I didn't take many pics, too busy eating ice cream with my daughter, but here are a few.

Craig:
Although I graduated in June 1964 (on my 17th birthday exactly 50 years ago) during my senior year I finagled 7th period "study hall" and further finagled a library pass where Mrs. Phair, the VERY kind and understanding librarian permitted Arnold Weible and yours truly to "study" the current Hot Rod magazine, discuss the Porsches for which we both truly lusted and review the fine points of the "gasser wars" where Big John Mazmanian and Stone,Woods&Cook would endeavor, each weekend, to put the other back on the trailer. Thanks for sharing. I LOVED the A/GS cars. And, of course, the AA/FA. They permitted me the illusion I could drive 'em to school. "Hello Mr. Swift, this is the Pure Hell AA/FA I bought last weekend - may I get a parking permit please?"
Great stuffBill Sampson
