Most of these photos are pre fast food, pre drive thru windows, pre cup holders in cars, pre 82oz soft drinks, pre 7-11 on and on. I don't remember junk food being as easy to access then and the portions were smaller.
Most of the people are pre middle age too!
The trim look and dress is a good memory.Ashley Page

So True Ashley! So many people these days live on that crap as part of their daily intake where as when I grew up fast food was a treat maybe a couple of times a month at the most. Portions are so much bigger now as well. I was watching the History channel a while back showing the evolution of fast food. Interesting to note that what was once considered a "large" (fry or drink) is by today's standard a "small". So its no surprise that obesity remains an issue in this country.
Sorry about that, back to Hot rods...Justin Rio

Clipped this out of the Sunday paper a few years back.
Along the same lines, those ladies posing with the red dragster above (gorgeous car!) look pretty darn hot. No tattoos, no piercings (one can assume), no surgical enhancements.
Still loving the pics in this thread. Please keep them coming. Like Justin and Ashley, my apologies for slightly hijacking it.
Take care

Don's "home" track was San Fernando Raceway. Couldn't begin to count the number of Sundays we went over to watch those guys develop the new "funny car" class. Every week something new, something faster, more dangerous, more funny. Back then that track was in the absolute middle of nowhere, now middle of industrial complex, nothing fun happening...Craig Richter
