Abarth Carrera GTL

GTL#1013 is currently in private hands, the owner is in California.
While owned by the factory, it always carried license plate no. S-AU893.
GTL#1018 is owned by Porsche and lives in their museum. During its competitive days it carried license plate no. S-NR 938 but was also seen with license plate no. S-NR 933.
Interesting observation: At Le Mans in 1962; GTL#1018 (race number 34)carried license plate number 938 on its rear engine cover but license plate number 933 on its front nose!
Just when you think there may be some logic to the GTL's history...., something unexplainable happens!

Indeed a real fake as you will see by reading pages 23-24 and 25 th of this same topic

The pic posted by Vance was taken September 4th 2016 during the 4th edition of the "Concours d'Elegance" organised by Patrick Peter at the Chantilly castle near Paris

During that same manifestation are also organized :
A concours d'Elegancereserved to classic cars of exception
A "promenade" rallye in the countryside and the forests around the town of Chantilly open to all classic cars (providing of couse a very expensive entry fee)
and a classic cars sale organized by Bonhams

I am very surprised to dicover that the fake abarth owner had enough support to have his fake admit in such a top class manifestation

Just realise that I misinterprete your question that in fact was related to this pic


Indeed Vance may know where he found it
As far as I am concerned I had never seen it before
The presence of several 911 pre 1973 date it around 1970 so a long time after the abarth ceased to be race competitive
As far as the blue fake I found the same pic publish by Vance but with a funny commentary in french

Once again they state the car to be 1002 but what mean the end of the sentence
tour auto 1951/1964 knowing this car was destroyed during the 1962 Tour Auto ?

this fake car was also "proudly" displayed at the Hedingham Castle Porsche Classics by September 3rd 2017


Note that at this occasion the car was wearing an english registration
