Bernadinus Pon born in 1937 and stil alive is the son of Ben Pon senior the Dutch importator for VW and Porsche
A drove in competition until 1965
In 1972 he competed in the Olympics in the pigeon shooting (finished 31 st)
He is now the largets wine seller in the Nederlands
He continue to drive for the Porsche museum in historic races
This year he drove a 550 spyder in the Mille Miglia 2013 revival
His race cars were always orange the Dutch National color

Despite this puncture on the Pau race track during the last leg of this competition they finished 4th overall behind 3 off Ferrari 250GT SWB hence their nickname 250GT "Tdf" (for Tour de France)

In September 1961 the weather conditions in the Corsican mountains that the rallye had to be stopped after 400 Km (of the 1200 planned)
Only 2 Citroen DS 19 finished the race but out of time
The classification was estabish at the end of the 2nd leg of the rallye
Even with that only 12 cars out of the 80 + starters were classified
The 356 Carrera was not amongst these 12 cars

WN-V-1 belong to the Stuttgart Porsche museum who

For fun, Porsche plates WN-V-1, WN-V-2 and WN-V-3 belonged to the factory
They were placed on several different cars depending upon the circomstances

The chassis behing the 356 Carrera GT are not Porsche chassis but Fiat chassis to built the Fiat Abarth

Zagato built most of the 20 off 356 Abarth Carrera and the totality of the Fiat Abarth Zagato as below
