There is much debate over the rubber strip. Many people don't like the look of it and prefer the air intakes. They used to send them back to the factory to get converted to cool the front brakes. It was first done on 550-0039 in a shop when it raced in Portugal - it was adopted soon after that. Personally I prefer the strip...

I have a copy of the factory blue print for that strip. I agree, I prefer the strip also. Will see if I can take a picture of it

Friday is 550-0025. Still in very original condition today. Owned by Alexandre Gacon where is was raced in the 4 h Forez and the Lyon-Charbonnie?res Rally. It was for sale at the beginning of 2013 in Europe, but I am not sure if it has a new owner yet.

The driver is Ken Miles in 550-06 - hard to tell which race he won as there were many! The woman could be his wife Mollie...
