  • I can only second Trevor's thought: Thank you! I know more about these old Spyders and their history than I ever thought I would. My thanks again to all of you guys! Justin

            • Great old ad placed by Denise herself, very cool to see! So glad to hear that she is still with us. You better contact her before its too late Andrew and all those great stories and details go with her.
The prices of those old ads sure can make your tongue wag by todays standards but 4,500 (back in what the early 70's you think?) was a good chunk of change back then. Great post! Justin

              • Yep, these old adsare fun.

As to Denise, we were delighted to have her with us at the PRCC. She and Ruth Levy were a 'kick' and when driven around, both told my friend to go faster!!

And, Denise met Lew Bracker (James Dean's friend) and the result was that Bracker wrote a book. Good stuff.

Still, like most all pilots from the old days, she had no idea which chassis numbers she drove or owned.

                • Came across this rare photo of Annie Bousquet in the 12 Heures de Reims race where she flipped her car and killed herself...

                    • Andrew, Very interesting photo of Annie during her fateful race.

Thanks Vance! What a cool vantage point that is! Would make for a great Type550.com poster wouldn't it Andrew?

Thanks again Guys, great stuff as always!
