I haven't done a spyder by number for a while, so following the last controversial build is 550-0044! This Spyder is current in a French collection along side a replica which looks more real than the original. The car spend most of its racing life in the US owned and raced by John Davis and his friend and co-pilot Bob Kirby.

As you can see in the wooden model the rear tail lights are from 550-06 or 550-07 but only with the single grill on the rear. At the Brussels Salon in 1954, was it 550-06 or 550-07 on the stand?

Andrew,
Re 05, 06, and 07:
I'm getting a little confused (mostly because it is complicated) as I am no longer sure what we are disputing as to these cars.
I am not suggesting they are clones per se.
Here's my core view:
1) 06, 07 and 09 were initially 'Bucklewagens'. All were re-configured.
2) 05 went to Brazil 1-54. It went with a pushrod. It was there until at least the fall.
3) Sometime, somehere, 05 got a new front end and either never left or came back to South America.
4) Specific timelines are crucial both as to this core stuff as well as any specific race.
I think---but am not clear---that we only disagree on the spring 1955 couple of Euro races with Annie. You believe 550-05 and we show 550-07.
We'll find the answer.
