For those interested the right story :
The black Dannenhauser and Stauss belonging to the VW Wolfsburg museum, was entered by the VW Museum director Horst Beilharz into the Silvretta Classic rallye held in the Austrian ALps by July 8th-9th and 10th 2005
For the occasion Horst Beiharz had for co pilot Uwe Muller one of the Lufthansa Director

The Silvretta Classic is not a race but a 500 kilometers regularity drive over 3 days on the Austrian Alps small twisting roads


In a village named Schnepfau the D&S was hitted front to front by a Ford van who had not respected the priority

The two passengers of the D&S, who were not wearing security belts, were seriously injured and had to be transported by helicopter to Bregenz the nearest city

This same 2005 year the Silvretta Classic

was won by a Dutch Lamborghini Miura

The 2018 edition is already in preparation

The Porsche Sytem script on the Dannenhauer (probably added by the owner) which give us the impression of using Porsche parts come from a Porsche Diesel tractor. But why not?

Two years and 3 months ago I wrote (page 117 to 124 of this same topic) Claude Storez life and of course the story of Claude Porsche Zagato race car

The last part of this story was referring to Herb Wetanson 2012 Storez Zagato tribute car

From the Classic Porsche article above I have learn several things :

Claude Storez had ordered to Porsche early 1958 through Auguste Veuillet Sonauto boss a bright new 356 A Carrera GT speedster
This car was out the Zuffenhausen plant by May 13th 1958 without interior and not painted
By May 20th a Fuhrmann 4 cams engine number 91009 was fitted in
This car was then shipped to Zagato plant in Italy in order that the steel body be replaced by an aluminium one
By end August 1958 Zagato sent the new car back to Zuffenhausen as seen on the below pic in the factory yard

After verification and approbation of the Zagato work by Porsche the car was delivered to Sonauto who had it registred 2079 HE 75 in Paris

On the contrary of what is said in this recent press article about Zagato recreation work

this car never won any race
A few days after having received his car Claude Storez with his good friend Marcel Buchet, enter it in the 1958 Tour Auto (September 17th/September 21st) with race number 139 but failed to complete the race after having shown a quite good potential


The next race for this car was the 1959 Rallye des routes du Nord (road rallye in the North of France early February 1959
Rallye which ended for Claude Storez by February 7th on the Reims race track
