The R group was won by Harry Zweiffel on a Cooper 1100

The GT/GTS group was won by Sepp Greger with his 356 Carrera


Ernst Vogel who did compete in 2 groups was 3rd with a 356 Carrera

I have also found that on several occasions Otto did compete against a man named Wulf Wisnies



ki who was driving one of the first Gmund 356 cabriolet who can be recognized by its strange split windscreen

Racing was also for Otto Mathe the occasion to cross the road of famous pilots as Hans Stuck he met in 1952 at a race in Innsbruck

Hans Stuck (1900/1975) was before the second WW one of the pilot of the fantastic Auto Union race car

After the end of the second WW it was forbiden to German citizen to drive a racing car until 1950
Hans Stuck became Austrian to overcome that difficulty
He became official BMW (at that time BMW was located in East Germany)

pilot and won several time the German hill climb championship

In 1950 Ferry left Gmund to reopen the Stuttgart Porsche plant who is now Porsche KG
At the same time Louise Piech and her husband Anton





did open Porsche Salzburg an independant company from Porsche Stuttgart whose purpose was to distrubute VW and Porsche cars in Austria

Unfortunately Anton Piech died in 1952 and Louise became CEO of Porsche Salzburg
Due to her links with the governement who ordered hundred of VW

In 1957 Porsche Salzburg had over 27 % of the total Austrian car market
