  • Before to tell you how Claude Storez had by mid 1958, the agreement of the Porsche factory to have a spyder realized by the Italian coachworker Zagato on a 1500 GS Carrera cabriolet (with of course the 4 cams Fuhrmann going with) I will
now come back on the too short pilot career of Claude Storez
Claude Storez was born on November 7th 1927 in Paris in a very wealthy family
His father was at the owner of one of the larger French card board manufacture.
Claude had the education of a young guy destinated to take his father position
Best schools first and then best university
During the second WW Claude was too young to be enrolled in the army and the family position hel him to go through these complicated years without majotr problems

        • It was the right period for Claude as DB in addition to their sport cars spyders had the idea to realise a light race car with the same Panhard and beam chassis
This race car was called the "Monomill"

                        • 1954 was also the first year where Claude Storez through his father relation with Auguste Veuillet, got the opportunity to drive official Porsche race car
In September for the Tour Auto he shared the wheel of the Porsche factory 550 with Herbert Linge
This time Porsche cars being more reliable than the French DB, it was a real success with 2nd overall

                          • For the Porsche fanatic, the 1954 Tour Auto will remember the year where the team Gilberte Thirion/ingeborg Polensky won the Ladies's cup with an old factory Gmund 356 SL when their competitor was the team Annie Bousquet/Marie Claude Beaumont on a factory spyder 550

                            • Claude Storez finish the 1954 year by competing in the Winter rallye des Lions with the 356 Pre A of a family friend Madame du Bois
Unfortunately the rallye ended in a ditch
