1961 was a quite good year for Porsche
3 off the 5 cars finish the race
Robert Buchet broke his engine in the last minutes of the race and was not able to pass the line
The 718 RS 61 race number 33 was 5th overall and first in class 1.6 L
The 718 RS61 race number 32 was 7th overall
The Abarth Carrera 1013 race number 36 was 10th overall and first in the GT class

It was the first of many
Robert Buchet mechanics very quickly became experts in rebuilding this engine

From September 14th to September 23rd Robert Buchet enter his Abarth 1002 in the 1961 Tour Auto
Once again he was DNF

The first pic on which it is written tout auto 1961 represent the second Robert Buchet Abarth Carrera (1006) a car he bought in 1963 to Robert Marx
The plate number is 400 EP 86 ie the right plate number for 1006 and not 226 DN 86 the correcdt plate number for 1002 the car he raced in 1961
The second pic is correct please forgive the first one who only could be a race in 1983 (I will search which one )

By October 15th Robert Buchet raced with 1002 in the Cognac rallye (Cognac well known for its brandy) is only 60 km from Poitiers

This race is not well documented
I have found that 41 cars started the race amongst them not less than 14 off Ferrari 250 SWB, 3 Aston Martin, 7 off Porsche
We know for sure that car race 21 driven by Edgar Barth/Huschke Von Hanstein was Abarth factory 1013 and car race number 25 driven by Pierre Marx/Lucien Bonnet was Abarth 1006 (the one that Robert Buchet will buy in 1963)
For the 5 remaining cars:

car race 23 Robert Buchet/Hahni
car race 24 Pierre Monneret/Boutin
car race 26 Langlois Van Opheim from the Equipe Nationale Belge

On this pic taken just before the start we may see an Abarth Carrera in the far behind 3 off 250 SWB and for sure a 356 Carrera

Robert Buchet start the 1962 year by defending his 1961 vicyory in the rallye du Limousin April 28th/29th
This time he did not succeed to beat another 250 SWB Ferrari this time driven by Henri Oreiller but finish 2nd

The 1962 edition nof the Rallye du Limousin was not so well documented than the 1961 edition and the above pic is the only one I found

By June 23rd 24th Robert Buchet was invited by Porsche KG to be part of the team of 3 Abarth Carrera they enter in the race
Car race number 30 was the 1010 driven by Ben Pon/Carel Godin de Beaufort

Car race number 34 was the 1018 driven by Edgar Barth/Hans Hermann

and car race number 35 was 1013 driven nby Robert Buchet/Heinz Schiller

Best result was for Barth/Hermann who finish 7th overall and first in 1.6L class
Ben Pon/Godin de Beaufort were DNF
