By April 21st/22nd Claude was in Tours
The Saturday he drove a 356 in the rallye de Touraine and the Sunday he finish second behind a Gordini of the Grand Prix de Tours with Auguste Veuillet 550-027
By June 24th the team 550-027 Claude Storez/Auguste Veuillet was in Italy on the Monza autodrome to take part to the Super Corte Maggiore GP
3 off 550 faced some 20 off Maserati's, 14 off Ferrari's, and 3 off Osca's + the habitual Lotus 11, DB and Panhard
550-081 car race number 41 driven by the US/German team Buff/Seidel finish 13"th overall
Car race number 38 Storez/Veuillet finish 15th overall

Car race number 37 was the one of Michael May and his brother Pierre
For this race were they finish 18th they were not allowed to race with the special wing
Just the time to pack the 550 and en route toward Reims to race the 1956 12 heures internationales de Reims raced July 29th
This race was a non-championship race and few top cars were present except the Jaguar Ecosse team
Porsche KG did not enter cars officially but 4 personnal 550 were there

Car number 30 was Auguste Veuillet 550-027 this time driven by Richard Von Frankenberg with Claude Storez

As said above the Reims 12 hours race was a non-championship sport cars race, who was taking place the day before the Formula 1 Grand Prix part of the World formula 1 Championship
The race was won by a Jaguar
Claude Storez/Richard Von Frankenberg finish far from the fastest cars but still 1st of the 1.5 L class
One month later July 28th/29th, the cream of the sport cars racing was at le Mans for the 24 hours race
The 1956 edition was the first after the terrible 1955 accident and was raced in July to avoid to have it raced the day of the accident
Porsche was there with a very strong team of 6 cars
