To avoid dust accumulation on the windscreen, Otto had two ideas :
Take the driver side window off and drive with specracles
Invent a windscreen washer

During the 1953 year Otto had a more straighfull idea : built a dedicated race car for ice racing and earth and ash racing : The Fetzenflieger was born
Very quickly (early 1955 when he got the 4 cams Fuhrmann engine) Otto realised that his Fetzenflieger was more competitive than ann its other cars and started to use it for road racing as seen there after in the 1957 Gaisberg rennen hill climb (at that time he was competing against 550 spyders)
