Back posting after 5 weeks off for various reasons : 2 weeks in the US early March for the LA Porsche week and then some business visits, followed by various family obligations for Easter and concude by a week in Spain sailing.

To day Tuesday April 19th Paris to Beaune with a special stage close to Sens

and races on the Dijon Prenois permanent racetrack




Tomorrow Wednesday 20th Beaune to Lyon

Thursday April 21 st Lyon to Valence
Friday April 22nd Valence to Marseille
and Saturday April 23rd Marseille to Cannes

For the 6th consecutive years competitors cars were asszembled and exhibited under the Grand Palais in the middle of Paris from Sunday April 17th to this morning Tuesday April 19th

Small historical disgression the Grand Palais is ideally located in between the Seine river and the Champs Elysees



Built from 1897 to 1900 to be used as an exhibition center
The Paris carshow was there until 1961

The competitors left the Grand Palais this morning very early to avoid to be trapped into the Paris traffic

the official departure being given from the Chateau de Courances in the country outside Paris

At the time I write the cars are racing on the Dijon Prenois race track

To will spend the night in Beaune a small city on the Paris Lyon road famous to be the Burgundy wine Capital and for its Hospices de Beaune built in the 15th Century as an hospital for poor people

To day the Hospices are no longer an hospital but a museum










but also for the new Burgundy wine sales every year
Indeed the Hospices owe a very large share of the Burgundy Vineyars they got as gift all along the centuries
