Why no blower on the front engine?

There was a LOT of very interesting iron in those days.

Agree Bill, a lot of interesting test beds back in those days.

You'll notice the motor with the blower is a big Chrysler hemi and the one up front without is just a small block chevy. Maybe the chevy was some sort of accessory or "helper motor" instead of a 1 to 1 partnership? Or maybe the owner just ran out of money for the secondary engine? A lot of cool crazy stuff!

Perhaps they should have reversed the small block and used it to drive the front wheels. Looks like it was connected crank to crank so the Chevy would be a 'helper' for the Hemi. Innovation produces some quirky stuff, like rear engined, air cooled, round. little cars.
                      Best,
                      Joel

Joel that was another idea that was ahead of its time for that past technology. An old story from my mentor was about the experiment in the late '60s using a pair of Olds Toronado drive trains both front and rear. He said No matter how they tried they just could not get the two motors to Sync up correctly to perform as one. This was of course before all the electronic management systems that would make it a snap in todays world.
