That last photo of the girls on bikes reminded me of a story--My brother was driving out in the desert somewhere when a bunch of girls went by on their motorcycles--all were topless.

Thanks Byron! Some really great old photos. Love the one directly above. He's right in the middle of chopping and channeling his roof out in the backyard amongst his parts cars. Pre-custom rod-shops; too cool!

1962, Overland Park, Ks. 18, with my 2nd car, a 51 Ford, business coupe. Shaved deck, doors, frenched head and taillights, lowered with blocks and heated coils, painted a nice burgundy. All else original. Belonged to my long time high school and Army Airborne buddy's Grandmother. Floor shifter from JC Whitney and the usual chrome bits on the generator, air cleaner etc. A great high school car. After joining the service, my brother drove it, ignoring a leaky M/C. On a snowy street, it failed and the front end was demolished.
