    Hi Joris
Capricon offered me one and I had the choice of the 80 or 82. Capricon can do just about anything they want to do and they don't seem to care about the ROI. Unlike some items rebuilding a roller crank does not restore it to new they were meant to be serviceable to extend the life. I believe that rather than bandaid the few existing cranks we produce a new 1 piece crank that is a throw away at end of life since the cost of a new crank could be comparable to the cost of servicing the present ones and much less expensive than remaking them when they won't ever need servicing anyway.

Pumps close to being done now. All housings have been computer measured and gears will now be ground to each housing to ensure perfect clearances and thus pressure.

Hybrid? So a roller/plain bearing combo for a 547? Interesting, thanks for sharing Jacques.

547 pumps can be bored out for the 692/587 dia gears they share that dia with the 912 and the 911 also. you purists can go with the smaller gears.

That is a nice offering Jacques! As valuable as these motors are I think I'd opted for the larger pump gears.

i had gears made as blanks 50 and 36mm long the 36 works for the 356 third piece there is a little overside on the od but not a lot to regear the 547 pump was fairly straight forward it took 3 50mm gears to make the 4 gear set. by my calculations not counting the repair of the housing we should increse the volume by 21% since the OD is bigger and the root dia is smaller.we could have also bore the pressur housing deaper but salvaging the pump was all that was needed.

repairing damaged races on roller cranks should be satifactory for occasional use.

Jacques, Earlier you posted a shot of your new annular disc brake rotors, do you by chance have a photo of an original annular disc brake front spindle? Thanks! Justin
