Hi Don, I bought a few months ago a 1957 Carrera GS/GT Coupe from a chap in England. The car and engine were totally restored in 2013 by great contractors and featured in a 356 Registry - Volume 38 article. In fact, I have not even seen the car yet since I live on east coast and the car is on the west coast. Its getting worked on by some great craftsmen who will tweak it a bit. I hope to play with it in a few months when I get some time.

Its my first 356 so I am pretty excited. I own a few other historical Porsches which were produced in limited quantity all with very low miles, but I cant wait to hang with this 356 given its age, history and long story. Its also the only car I own which has been restored. All other cars are absolutely original which has been my mind-set forever. I think after this, I would like to take on a project GT Carrera Speedster. I have never had a restoration project myself, but I would love to go into that kind of project for the experience. If something comes across a 57-59 Carrera Speedster which needs a new life, I would be totally on top of it if it was a good situation.

Looks like my maturity in the Porsche world is changing for the better.
