Neil, By the Polka-dotted helmet I think thats Denise Mcluggage. Right Andrew?

Welcome along Joe. I could not agree more, this site and its contributors are a well spring of historical knowledge. Unfortunately we lost Steve Heinrichs several months ago (RIP) but we are still blessed with the likes of Andrew and Gerard who generously help to continue all of our historical knowledge concerning these beautiful old race cars and the people who campaigned them all those years ago.

I will dig to see if I can find copies of pictures I had of Bob's shop when he was working on the 718 in Warrington. I sent pictures and other trivial anecdotes to the late Steve Heinrichs for his book "Carrera." I think I can find copies if I can find the time but maybe not in time for an 'art print.'
Weldon Scrogham bought the last of the Bob and Al Holbert items after Larry decided to not keep much of the family racing history and I saw that in his VA location about 2 years ago.

    Hi All,

First - this thread is a trove of history, information, and enthusiasm. Thank you all!

Second, I am looking for period photos of 718-031, formerly Bob Holbert's car, I believe. I owe the car's current owner a holiday gift and will see him in a few weeks. My objective is to have a photo printed on canvas for him.

Thank you in advance and thank you for your dedication to these magnificent and historic cars.

    -Joe
