Steve Heinrichs has asked me to respond to Andrew's post about Richie Ginther's race at Paramount Ranch in August 1956.

We agree that this is 18-19 August 1956 Paramount Ranch, Ginther with 550-06.

We also checked all other races for Ginther against the photos available online and other resources. We believe Ginther was driving 550-06 at 21-22 April 1956 Pebble Beach.

We will include this information in the Errata sheets.

Thank you for your help with Ginther's races.

The first one is Pebble Beach April 1955 and the second is Santa Barbara May 1955. John von Neumann in 550-06

No tail lights on the rear fins....which number is this one?

yep - spyder in background and 550 without lights looks like 550-06, but the fins look higher and there are no rear deck scoops

Bidded on a strip of negs at auction last week. It was a bit of a gamble from the photo they posted, but it has certainly paid off. The description was:
mixed lot of 6 original B / W negative, Porsche 550 Spyder Hockenheim 1956 among them a photo Victor Rolff's 550 Spyder with glass dome, rare professional photos, very good quality.

Just got them today and getting them scanned - what a jackpot! I will share them shortly...
