Thank you guys for the kind words, it is nice to hear, whether amateur or professional panel beater.

JOP, yes i still have the cheapo english wheel, I too would love one of Peter's wheels but that will be much later on if at all with my hand!
Justin, I am almost half way through one alu frame!

Your fabrication skills are simply amazing Neil! The shapes you turn out are impressive to say the least. I'm looking forward to watching some alloy doors being built.

well as some of you know i am building some aluminium doors for this car, but i need them now to check the opening with the window frame along with the lock post before the longitudinal gets closed up and the floor gets fitted. so i took the original doors to get glass blasted at 'blast and peen' in keysborough Melbourne, so i can repair them as it will be quicker than finishing the alu doors. (what with making a jig to fit the original door into then take templates and so on)
here's what's left lol...

not much to report but I have took the floors to work and spot welded them together, also spotted the centre tunnel on too so now it goes in all together, had to plug the centre few as the arms didn't reach but I'm happy with that

Bruce,
Nice photos, I wonder indeed what happened to it? I posted these once before but below my 1952 RHD !!! coupe chassis 11789 engine P30988.
Should have kept it, still have some minor parts to remind me, the rest of it I guess was melted down.( it ran and was savable for sure)
Roy
