  • Convertible D top frame hinge dimensions needed

    Hi Guys
With weeks of self isolation about to take effect I find that I have some time on my hands so I thought I would try and reverse engineer a couple of hinge brackets for my Convertible D project.

This is where I need your help, I could do with some clear high resolution pictures of the part from the top and the side (as straight on as possible).
I also need some key dimensions (see my diagram).

And lastly is the rear bow (the one that is bolted to the rear bodywork) a hollow tube or is it solid and drilled out either end?
The cast piece that holds the rear bow is going to be a real challenge so if anyone has any of these pieces lying around please let me know.
    Stay safe
    Drew

I'll get you some detailed shots of this early D top frame I have here Drew. As for the base bow its just hallow tubing. Contact Ric as I sold him an original D base bow a few years ago and he still might have it.

Base bow tubing is very thin gauge tubbing as you can see this one is split from the tension.
