Although it is written Anneliese Hartenau at the wheel of her Gordini Porsche it is obvious that this car has nothing to see with the ex-Gordini
So what is this car ?
The wheel and suspension look like real Porsche ones (the Gordini Porsche had wire wheels)
            The body is in aluminium
The body shape similar to a light sport car not massive as the ex-Gordini
The engine may be a 4 cams Fuhrmann as Annelise won ahead of much more powerful cars

Does anybody had an idea ?

Walter Glockler was not only the Managing nDirector of the very large Glockler copmpany, but also a very active motorbyke and car pilot.
Not happy of what he could find in the market he decided to built his own racing car in 1948
In 1948 he was not linked to VW or Porsche but with Hanomag a huge German Industrial group with bussinesses such as
                      Steam locomotives
                      Industrial and small lorries
                      Tractors
                      Cars
They were very strong in Diesel motors and built just before the 2nd WW an aluminium racer who won many Wold records for Diesel cars

Being Hanomag distributor, Walter Glckler decided to start from the above car to built his first racer
This car had an aluminium body on a tubular chassis and 4 independant suspensions very rare in 1948
With this car Walter Glockler won many races in Germany including the 1949 Schauinsland hill climb

Having become VW distributor in 1949, Walter Glockler decided to built, helped by his shop manager Hermann Ramelow, a second race car based on the VW technic ie engine in the back when the first Hanomag Glockler had the engine in the front
As for the Hanomag Glockler, Walter used a tubular chassis and an aluminium body made by Weidenhausen Karrosserie
On the contrary of the VW technic, the engine was placed in front of the back wheels
The engine was a 1086 cc VW engine with Porsche cylinder heads
The power was 48 HP with fuel and 62 HP with alcohol
This car was very successfull and won three times the German championship for race car under 1100 cc
                            In 1950 with Walter Glockler
                            In 1951 with Hermann Kathrein
and in 1952 with Heinz Brendel

On what we may call the first Glockler Porsche Walter had already the idea to compensate the lack of power by the minimum weight as possible
This car only weighted 440 kg thanks to aluminium body
After three years of races in Germany this car was bought by Max Hoffman and raced in the US first by himself and afterward by Von Neumann
Below Max Hoffmann at the wheel
