This is Garrett, one of the guys from the Lufteknic Shop here in Richmond.

That 'Cheese Cutter' cap was given to me by a friend who had his 1969 912 restored at the shop.
He took 3rd in Restoration Class at Parade this month and a Weissock (sp) Acheivement Award.

      • I see you took your CB radio out of the car when it was restored.

              • 356,
Where is that shot from? Looks like the car has the (remains of the) very rare slotted-spoke dished VDM wood wheel. The metal grab handles on the passenger's side dash and door mean it is a "B" car, correct? Can you tell whether it is a T-5 or T-6?
                Thanks,
                Ed

                  • Hello, The wheel looks like an old Les Leston to me.

                    • Thanks for replying! Teardrop shape of the 3 slots and lack of a "LL" logo make me think otherwise. Is that Rudi/Ben Klein's wrecking yard in Los Angeles? Picture must be somewhat old, based on the number of wrecks. Any idea of the date or source?
