The generator on that photo caught my eye. Is that a dummy generator which doesn't have a core so puts a bit more hp to the wheels?

Plus that are the two pipes coming from the left of the fan housing for?

                              Hey Neil,
I think the generator is/was functional even though there are no wires to it in the photo. They could not have powered the ignition system with just the battery alone; not for long anyway. All the holes drilled in casing were an effort to remove just a few more ounces weight and maybe to provide some additional heat dissipation at the same time. A modification that really does nothing on its own but put together with several other weight saving efforts could give you that tiny edge over the competition. This is why I love looking at racecars! I am sure Bruce Baker could chime in with some real first hand knowledge. The twin leads coming from the fan shroud are from the old oil cooler mount. A manifold has been bolted in its place and is running the oil out to a remote cooler in the wheel well. Justin

                                Justin (&/or Bruce),
Wow, that is one tiny power pulley! And where are all those vent lines from the oil filler going?
