It's my pleasure, Justin. George, I'm in southeast Alabama and the nearest 356 to me I know of is 100 miles away in Ft. Walton Beach, Fl, By coincidence, I'm originally from Oregon, in the small town of Lebanon. Erik

Great pic's It is always great having your own shop to hide out in, car is looking great. I know where Lebanon is as I was born and raised in Oregon. My son inlaw is from Dalton Alabama, So it can be a small world we live in. Good luck getting the Speedster on the road soon. I just had mine out today for a short run top down great weather 90*f.

Found another shot of my Dad. He and a friend bought this little Mercedes when they were stationed at Hahn AFB 1953-1954 and drove it all over Germany

Great old shots Erik! The Mercedes sure looks dangerously close to a Ford. Your speedster looked "race-ready" all stripped down like that. You mentioned in another post about moving from your old residence; are you heading to another town? Glad your running across these great old pics while doing so! Thanks again! Justin

Justin, The flatbed shots are from 1998 moving from rented space to shop (barn) at my house I have been in for almost 30 years. Wife (of 25 years) has another home where we both live. We are consolidating and planning to relocate to the Pensacola/Gulf Breeze area. I have 2 sisters in P/cola and we like the area. Lots of car activity there. Erik

There were 3 Speedsters out of probably close to 40 356's that came and went with quite a few 900 series mixed in along with some Mercedes and vintage Caddys.

turned into a business/hobby. Dad died in 1985 of a massive coronary just as the "business" was getting off the ground. Who knows what may have been. I ended up with the Speedster and my stepmom got the 65 Cab. I'm still friends with her. (she's 73 now) I'm supposed to see her this week to get some more old photos I'll be posting. Erik In the meantime, here's another
