Hi. Could someone please help me with the correct bumper hole size/placement on an 356 speedster, I have enjoyed alle JTR70`s impressive pictures in the 356 restoration section. But need the measures so that i can mount original style bumper brackets on my replica .

Hello Bjarne,

Thanks for joining us and Welcome! I can get the hole size dimensions for you tomorrow however their exact placement is going to depend entirely on where the bumper irons mount to your frame in relation to the body. Don't get too caught up with that, I would personally be shooting for the irons to exit as close to center of the holes as possible. This is unless of course your iron mounting points haven't been built yet? Thanks for the nice words and welcome once again!

Here they are. I hope this helps and makes sense to you.

Front holes:

Not particularly shaped clean when the factory cut them in.

Width

Height

Distance between the inner edge of the holes.

The crown of the nose is of course affecting this distance so depending on how close this crown was replicated on your body I would use this only as a guide while determining your best average fit.

Rear holes: Cut a little larger than the fronts but equally as rough in shape.

Distance between inner edges of the holes.
