I brain faded on forgot to get a clear shot of Bill and Rosemary's C coupe. Unfortunately this was the only direct one of it I took. There has been some body damage to this car caused by Bill recently so I think subconsciously I was saving him some embarrassment.

My secret is out. I'm blaming Rosemary - she would be the rose between the two thorns in the picture. I scraped it on a file cabinet handle in my own too crowded garage. Sob. AAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH

Some of the attendees knew this: Dewey Weber Surfboards, founded by the legendary surfer (and 356 AND woodie owner) of the same name is right next door to Jack in the same "complex" of buildings. The business is now run by his son Shea. Shea was beaming as he told Jack, Justin, Rosemary and me that one of the 356 owners at Jack's party had purchased a vintage Weber board. I looked at the tag and it said 1966. Congratulations to whoever now owns that classic longboard.

I almost forgot about that Bill. What a great board shop. The history on the walls was really fascinating. I was so glad I followed you guys in there!

The main shop where he's been for 40 years is behind the Blue tents. He really is in the thick of the legendary California surfing scene. There is surfboard rentals and lessons upstairs in that far end building and the ocean is practically on the other side of it. A really cool place!!!! I can see why he has been there for so long...

WOW Justin,
I sure missed this thread. Pat put me on to it.
Next month we will be taking a trip to North of San Diego to visit some friends so if I get the chance maybe we can saunter up to Jack's and check it out.
