A couple of cars from the Hardees Cruise In in Chester, VA last night-5/2/15.
A 1930ish Chev Coupe with a 454 ci fed by a Holley double pumper.


Followed by a 1955 Nash Metropolitan with a 460 ci powerplant.
I would think keeping that short coupled machine staaight on the strip could be a challenge.


The week before a Model A blown Coupe.


Plus a 'older' lady drove her husband in in this 1928 Chev panel.

Wished I had a pic of our '32 5 window that we ran on 1/4 and 1/2 mile dirt tracks in Western Michigan summer of '54.
When I went up to the old fairgrounds in Ionia, MI in 2012 for my 60th HS Reunion I found a pic of the line up for the feature race.
We had the outside pole in the #5 '40 Ford full fendered coupe that replaced the '32.
I wasn't driving just the cheap wrench turner!


The place hadn't changed much in 60 years.
