Great pix. I LOVE these cars. We were traveling through the Plains states for 12 days. We toured the Speedway Motors Museum while in Lincoln, NE. You would NOT believe how much flathead speed equipment was there - along with unbelievable quantities of almost everything.

Wow! That Lattin Woody is more than outstanding! See that finned by-pass oil filter on the firewall? Installed one just like it on my first Speedster in 1960. The mechanics at Roger's always kidded me that I belonged in a Woody, but I also noticed they were always popping the Speedster's engine lid to show off the bling to interested customers.Craig Richter

That's totally cool Craig. Ok, time to go to church... I confess I've always LOVED finned speed parts/goodies! I've often thought that a Bee hive finned oil filter canister would look right at home in a Pre A engine compartment. Not an outlawed car, but more of a SoCal hotrod look. For wheels, possibly some old Hildebrand knock-offs. Flat paint, light gray or medium blue. OK, confession's over
Fair warning here, I've been guilty of putting some finned parts on my 67 Caddy.
And I still haven't put this valley cover on yet.

You've come to the right place for a confession Trevor, Bill just so happens to be an Ordained Minister or at least that is one of several different titles he's given himself.
Beautiful jewelry, your motor looks sweet!!! Where exactly will that valley cover mount?? How is the rest of this car looking??Justin Rio

Incidentally guys, if you ever get a chance to tour the Speedway Motors http://www.speedwaymotors.com/ Museum full of stuff assembled by Bill and Joyce Smith (founders of Speedway) in Lincoln, Nebraska, go see it. TONS of flathead raceware - including dual plug heads, in-valve heads, hemi heads - for a flathead, Offy stuff, you name it. Even a huge collection of lunch boxes assembled by one of their sons since they sent him to school with a brown bag. Good folks and good tour. The National Woodie Club board was treated to a tour last Saturday just before our meeting.
I've been told Lincoln is the biggest city in Nebraska when the Cornhuskers play but we scheduled the meeting for an "away" weekend so we could afford to stay there. If you're a college football fan it's probably a good ticket which can be combined with the fascinating tour above.Bill Sampson

Hey Trevor,
That was my first thought but I had to ask since its a cool part that will never be seen once the intake goes back on. All four pieces must of come as a package deal then? Glad to hear you'll be getting back on your 356 here shortly.
Thanks for the link Bill, Looks like an amazing place to visit!
Great photos as usual Bryon! Thank you!Justin Rio
