Faded B&W shot I took at the 1967 Hershey Hillclimb. Inserting the "I" in 'R.SK' wasn't considered yet, as those were 'just old racecars' and a few thousand dollars. This event and others like it drew cars like Ferrari pontoon-fender TR's, now worth millions (to some).

                    Hi.

Re start nr. 19.....I am fairly sure I can ID if I know the race location.

As I was saying I am not an expert in 550 and 718RSK and I leave our great connoisers Andrew and Steve correct my mistakes
Andrew if you read this one, may be you could complete it with some of the great pics on your site : www.type550.com
Richard Von Frankenberg was not a professionnal pilot but a journalist friend of Huschke Von Hanstein Porsche race director a "gentleman driver" as so many in the 50's
Through Hushke Von Frankenberg he had the occasion to drive exceptional cars including prototypes as the type 645

                            The photos are just great!!!

Much for all of us to learn re the 718s.

By the way, they intended to build two Typ 645s. The memo will be in the book. Seems only one. Probably after they learned about magnesium they decided against the second.
