Today is 550-0032, but I have zippo images of it and I only know it was owned by Gonzague Olivier, so on to 550-0033 which has a great racing provenance where it was originally owned and raced by Ernst Lautenschlager, then Eldon Beagle and Erv Lehr. It is currently owned by a collector in Japan and participates actively in vintage race events

Back to the count up - 550-0034. A regular entrant into historic track events today, this spyder has been raced hard. One of the original entry cars in the 1956 LeMans when it was owned by Gonzague Olivier and raced by the team of Storez / Polensky, it DNF. It was a French blue delivered spyder from the Paris dealer Roger Loyer.Today it is fitted with the speedster style windscreen and is based in the US.

Today is 550-0035 - another lost spyder which I have become very attached too. It is the Spyder I am basing my replica on. When I saw the photos of it at the 1955 Mille Miglia, it looked like the underdog against the might of the Mercedes. Yes it came 44th, but that's not the point... It was piloted by Araldo Sassone, which was the only time he raced this car. According to Steve's book it was a Werks Spyder. Unknown where it is today (good reason to clone it!)
