              • Gerard - do you have photos of 1957 Mont Ventoux showing 356 Carerra Coupes or Speedsters ?

                Merci...

                        • re Venezuela---

Our take is that von Hanstein raced 550-0046 at 6 November 1955 GP Venezuela.

550-0030 was raced by Hampel, then Buschin Europe...then went to Don Sessler in U.S. around July/August 1956.

550-0046 was raced by Polensky/RvF at 1955 Le Mans, then Linge at August Nurneburgring, then September Tourist Trophy, then von Hanstein at Venezuela, Nassau and back to Europe in February 1956 for Zell am See.

                          • Knowing this climb from the TdF the road surface doesn't look like this anymore?

0030 and 0046 were very similar spyders in colour and features and can easily be confused. It is highly likely your research is correct if the dates line up...

                              • The Venezuela race and 0030 and 0046 are very difficult. Part of our effort has involved triangulating dates and pilots and car locations. My hope is that we can continue to identify specific chassis numbers on some races and to identify and fix errors.
