Thanks for contacting John, Michael. They used to do crazy things back in the day of grass roots racing - you wouldn't be able to get away with that these days! Is it possible to find out if he remembers who he bought it off originally or sold it to?

Andrew - You're welcome. Regarding your question...I had asked this before. Unfortunately, Bat has no records and no recall on who he bought the motor-less 550 from nor who he sold it to.

Start 67 very cool. It is 550-03 after freshly having been painted white and ready for Sebring. Von Neumann may have gotten the front cutout ideas for his 550-06.

From the color photo it is clear that this car has the knock off wheel and the same color than the one used by Annie Bousquet thereafter
Through this site I have had recently the opportunity to meet and exchange with one of the most famous French Porsche cars collector
This guy who doesnot want his name be disclosed thincks that Annie Bousquet has never own this 550 who has always belong to Sonauto who rented it to Annie
So is this car 550-05 or 550-07 ?

Start 146 was 550-07 (after buckle removal). 550-05 was in Brazil.

What race was start nr. 72???

I know this car keeps rearing its ugly head, but once again it has the rear of 550-05. As Steve says, there were 3 Buckelwagens, 06, 07 and 09. As I moved my photos from my 07 folder into my 06 folder as everyone says the image with the boys in the back, and the show car is 550-06, so does anyone have a photo of 550-07 with the buckelwagen rear so I can see the difference between 06 and 07?
