Hey JG,
Where were these old snaps taken?
They remind me of some of the cars I saw in Raleigh at the Seducing Speed exhibit in late October.

Photos of the spyder were taken in the 1955 rally in Weisbaden. Interestingly there is a large US Forces base there and there was a Porsche Dealer in the town. The photos that Chad posted showing a red 356 coupe touring Europe in the 50's also came from the dealer in Weisbaden.
