I have that photo, but I don't know any details on the Spyder - it looks original but like some kind of targa modification, and it has vanity plates, which is interesting!

Hello Everyone,

Steve Heinrichs has asked me to respond to the photos of the 550A at 1957 Bonneville Salt Flats race.

We believe the pilot at the 1957 Bonneville Salt Flats race was Bob Hirsch. Two sources identify the pilot for start nr. 105 as Hirsch.
