      • Hoping folks on the board can assist with identifying the following brackets. This is a good shot but if anyone has one from a different angle for 1960 coupe would be appreciated.

                • Starting the final fitting for floor and brackets. Drilled a couple of hundred holes around the edge of the floor which only serves as reminder of the many welds and subsequent grinding to come. Need to find the master cylinder for correct pedal position before welding in the floor.

                    • Before I burn in the floor I need to position the pedal bracket. Of course with every part or replacement nothing ever fits as it should. The pedal bracket will be encroaching on the circle dimple in the floor. Looks like the circle will need to be cut out and moved ahead by 3/4 of an inch.

                      • Justin and I had to do the same. There are some good pictures on our blogs. Easy fix to make correct.

                        • .....and I have seen a few original cars where a small part of the circular depression was just crushed flat.

I think the original floor stampings were all the same (per model) and it was trimming and locating the pan that made for mis-alignments. I guess I need to have an annual "Made by Hand" refresher viewing.

Yes, like the others here who tend to be OC, I like to move the details into "the correct spot"....so I make a tracing and try to make a bigger circle cut so the positioning can be "clocked" and then welded like there was never a problem......but then is it symmetrical with the depression on the other side? Talk about getting depressed....where does it all end??

                          • RD floor. In my opinion the circular depression is about 3/4" too far left on the RD floors. Simonsen/Stoddards have it in about the right spot. There is a tendency to move the front floor rearward to give a little more clearance for the depressions where it angles in towards the footwell. But the fit is really tight there originally. The '64 I just did still had its original floor, and the inner longitudinal edge distinctly and crudely overlapped the triangular depression. I'm with Bruce though. There was enough give/take in the originals that I'd just hammer it flat for the edge of the pedal bracket and be happy.
