It’s a soft “sausage roll”. Works like a house on fire. Slides into the dispenser and each roll comes with a new nozzle. I Use the caulking gun to squirt out and run along edges. Then it’s all about using your finger to smooth. First run with the finger is fine then it gets gummy so I keep dipping finger in equipment cleaner acetone to smooth and feather.1960 356B T5 - under major resurrection.

It comes in a “sausage roll” and slips in a caulking gun dispenser. Each roll comes with a disposable nozzle. Make sure it is a current date if it is two years old it will have partially cured. I squeeze it out along the seams then run smooth with a finger. First pass with finger works well then it gets gummy so I dip
my finger in equipment cleaner acetone to wet and smooth out. I learned about this from my friend who restored airplanes.

Added a drain hole and tube to the rain try. A black tube/hose will slide over the pipe and down and out through the gas tank shelf.

Thanks Justin. I think most welding is done. Positioned rear trailing arm to find the best spot to place the bumper stop bracket based on radial swing. Welded and epoxied.1960 356B T5 - under major resurrection.

So finely had some clear weather and semi warm temps for up here in Canada to drag the car outside and spray on the undercoating followed by a number of coats of semi-gloss. All tough like a turtle shell now.1960 356B T5 - under major resurrection.

Some of the suspension parts epoxy primed and then paint semi gloss single stage. It was a good day warm and no wind to set it
up outside and painted then inside to cure.

Justin - that is so funny. Honestly I don’t know myself!!!!! I have been pulling stuff out of my 356 boxes so assumed it was for the car. I thought it was transmission related. I do have the dreaded 1960 single nose cone. I will be digging into the transmission this fall. When I discover what it is I will let you know.1960 356B T5 - under major resurrection.

Installed the trailing arms. For my car they needed to be set at 16 degrees. The inner torsion rod with 40 splines moves 9 degrees and the trailing arm with outter splines of 44 moves 8 degrees A lot of trail and error to get them at around 16 and equal both sides. At 16 degrees the arm hangs over the lower bolt receiving hole so a strap and a lot of tension was used to draw it up to expose the hole to lock in the cover plate.1960 356B T5 - under major resurrection.

New bushings and pins in the front arms. . Put proper shims in based on what I extracted a few years ago. Clean zerk fittings and tested squirting some grease through to the pin. Trying to get rough suspension and wheels in place to roll the car outside to start body work.1960 356B T5 - under major resurrection.
