I have seen that ghia option/chassis. Look like they are almost building a fiberglass replica type frame. My body stil has fire wall, good A pillars, etc.

Nothing I'd recommend using. Appears to have been though a fire which would explain the lack of a body. If that's the case all that metal is annealed with compromised structural integrity.

when i started my build i thought about using a vw pan, the best option i found was this,

          http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=1099737

i thought that if i sent the 356 floor pans to this guy, he could then build his frame to use the pans resulting in what would look (from underneath) a normal 356

just an idea i had, may work for you?

That looks like a more viable alternative.

There are many different ways to get the job done, I have files full of pictures on my computer. The main question is...what is your budget and time frame for this project?

The quick answer is the car is in super bad condition; so investing a load of $$$ is not on my list. I'm not in a huge hurry, but would like to get it 'rolling' to keep my interest.
