Some detailed front end shots of what is on your car now and the donor nose would be helpful so we can see what you have to work with. There are two basic thoughts I would recommend if I was doing a full frontal replacement.
1) Stick to the factory joints or breaks as much as you can. This would include the trough or trunk jamb area if your donor still has it.
2)This one is Probably the most critical to ensure a proper fit and to avoid a major headache down the road. Fully mount and mock up your hood. Get it gapped and properly spaced with your cowl. Then of course down the fender lines. Latch it and make that opperational as well. Your trying to recreate as closely as possible what your final fitment is going to be. Once that is established you can then begin fitting your new nose to that crucial base line of an engaged hood.
Those are the two most important in my mind. Need some pics now.

Okay, you've got what looks to be a trevor Marshall new front nose. While these parts are close I would bet the farm there will be some additional cutting and splicing needed before it fits on your car like it should. So the same rule applies and is actually more important than ever; Get your hood mounted,latched, and gap set to the cowl and fenders. Its a sure bet letting the factory parts dictate your lines, provided they are not damaged of course. Make this aftermarket part fit and contour to factory hood and fenders not the other way around.
