Had some rattle can paint mixed up years ago to match tank paint. Was not able to rattle it up enough to get fully mixed so will need a 2nd coat after I take it to paint store and put on a shaker machine:

Great work Phil. Those seats look real sturdy for the passenger. Just go slow around the corners.1960 356B T5 - under major resurrection.

I have been out of commision since last post with apparent severe rheumatoid arthritis in both hands and wrists. So no work on Foam Car at all. My son came up last weekend and temporarily installed gas tank. Glad we did as learned clearances are pretty tight. The filler neck is touching the air control box and not well centered in top fender hole. Will try to move air control rearward when tank removed gor final paint and insulation. Was able to get vent tube painted with Eastwoods fake silver cad and rough installed. Will finally see a rheumatoid doc in 2 weeks to hopefully restore use of hands.

Drove down our dirt road this week. First time moving under own power in 21 years. Cant attach video for some reason. I think same format as engine start video.
With hands at about 60% I am now able to do medium duty work. Adjusted clutch free play and stop. Began removing more dash paint and fitted plug to fill in hole that a PO punched in for a switch. Here is plug awaiting welding. Note jury rigged ignition switch hanging under dash.

I am using a 6v Optima so bought the cloaking device to help locate and hold down without drilling extra holes. The combo ground bracket/lateral stop has to be extended as the fake bsttery is longer than original
I had some left over steel plate from my welding class years ago that was the same thickness. First I drilled and tapped s hole for the m8x1.2 bolt:
Next I cut it to size and welded it to the beacket:

As I am a ways off from driving Foam Car on public roads and will be doing a lot of wiring work I installed a cutoff switch on the ground. Installed battery hold down strap. Also cleaned up original plastic trunk liner and installed. Unfortunately the drivers side doesnt fit flush due to my brake fluid reservoiur. I checked this when installing reservoiur but gas tank was not installed. It seemed to clear okay but with tank in it doesnt. Not a big issue. Started engine and adjusted clutch pedal stop. Went for about a 2 mile drive around the subdivision(private roads) without lights or license plate to warm up oil and bed in brake shoes. All went well. Oil now about finished dripping from drain pan.
