  • T-1 fat back seats

Hi, I am getting close to starting my seats in my T-1 coupe and
noticed that some have the standard 5 pleat backs and some with
a 2 pleat back. I will be the one stitching the covers.
My frames are the wood fat back type.
Any input will be a big help.
    Thank you, Gordon

Gordon, here's my pair of wood-based fatback seats still in the original black vinyl. I can get you detailed shots and measurements of all the pleats and their spacing and any other detail you might need. Just let me let me know. Justin

Thanks Justin, Are the pleats in the back the same width as the pleats
in the bottom? And the approximate width of a single pleat.
      Thanks again, Gordon

If you have any question concerning the rest of T1 interior I can help there as well including door panel details. The original set above was from my coupster (57976) I have since sold these pieces to Road Scholars but I took detailed photos and measurements before they left.

Outer side panel does not have the stitch.
          Hope these help!

Thanks Justin, that answers all my questions.
My first guess would have been with the pleats too wide.
            Thanks again.Gordon

Can someone show me what the hinge screw on a T-1 seat looks like?
                Thank you, Gordon

Hey Gordon, I'll get you a photo of one when I go to my shop tonight. Its a really large headed spade screw. The large screw on a 356 B&C rear apron to fill the optional reflector hole is about the same though it has a shorter shank. Justin

Again B&C rear apron hole plugs for the lower Euro reflector are identical except that the shank is a bit shorter but could work just fine.

If where missing these I'd consider having my machinist make me a set from stainless steel. Justin
